Paderno started in Prince Edward
Island, Canada in 1979 with a vision of making cookware so good it
would outlast anything in the kitchen. Since those early beginnings,
our Pots for Eternity have become famous across Canada and into the
United States. Now, as we celebrate our 31st anniversary in
business, not only has that vision of excellent performance and
outstanding durability been the guiding light in making us Canada's
only cookware manufacturer, it has helped us develop an ever
widening range of kitchen products that continue to meet that
standard. In Prince Edward Island, we like to
take our time with things. We take time walking along the beautiful
beaches. We take time to talk and get to know everybody we meet. But
we really take time with making our cookware. That's why we
guarantee our product for 25 years. We wanted to prove to you just
how much time we do put into making each piece of cookware, so we're
pleased to take you through the steps of making the world's best
cookware.
STEP 1 Paderno cookware starts as a sheet of top quality
304 stainless steel. We cut the sheet into squares and then trim
them into circles. These circles are then pressed into the shape of
the pot. STEP 2 We carefully trim the excess material from the pot
and sand down all sharp edges. This provides the perfected no drip
lip and gives our cookware its smooth, elegant edges.
STEP 3 Through a special bonding process we apply a prepared
aluminum disc to the bottom of the pot. This is what gives the fast,
even heat conduction of every piece of Paderno. Without this you
wouldn't be so hot on our pots. STEP
4 We take particular pride in the
polishing of our cookware. Each pot must pass through 5 polishing
stations to give it that mirror-like finish. Our handles alone take
4-6 hours just to polish! STEP
5 Next, we weld our handles to the
cooking vessel. This top of the line spot weld is second to none.
This process is what keeps your handle from falling off for at least
25 years. STEP 6 Once the pot is completed we then put it through our
large wash plant to clean all dirt particles from the stainless
steel. STEP 7 We then take one final inspection by our quality
control department prior to packaging.
After all of this, we have one perfect pot for
you!
